DESCRIPTION

With the recent introduction of this new and revolutionary weapons platform, numerous dignitary and executive protection agents, law enforcement and security teams have adopted its use.

If you are a new owner of the Flux Raider X, Micro or other similar PDW platform, this fundamental course will provide you with the necessary skills to confidently and competently operate your weapon for defensive purposes.

This is a perfect combination of dry fire and live fire drills that will provide anyone seeking a structured and purposeful introduction to their chosen PDW platform.

REQUIRED GEAR

  1. Flux Defense Raider X or Micro (or similar PDW platform)
  2. Minimum of 5 magazines for your handgun (more is better)
  3. Magazine pouches for your magazines
  4. Properly fitting holster and sturdy belt compatible with your PDW. If a holster is not available, you must have a compatible sling.
  5. Minimum of 400 rounds of ammunition (may purchase at the range)
  6. Cover garment to fully conceal your PDW
  7. Eye protection
  8. Electronic hearing protection
  9. Appropriate range attire: closed-toe shoes, long pants, and crew neck shirt

SUGGESTED/OPTIONAL GEAR

  1. A suppressor suitable for your PDW
  2. Sharpie type pen for marking targets
  3. Pen and notepad for taking notes
  4. Hat or other head covering
  5. Gloves
  6. Knee pads and elbow pads
  7. Footwear that you can stand in all day (boots are highly recommended)
  8. Sunscreen or raingear (if outdoors, this course will go on rain or shine)
  9. Refillable water bottle for hydration
  10. Food or snacks to sustain you for the duration of the course

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Ammunition not allowed: armor piercing or steel core ammo (you will be responsible for paying for any damage to the range or steel targets)

Holsters not allowed: Blackhawk SERPA holsters, any holster that requires you to use your trigger finger to defeat a retention button or switch, cross draw holsters, ankle holsters, belly band holsters, fanny pack holsters, small-of-back holsters, shoulder holsters, soft side (collapsible) holsters

PREREQUISITES

Participants must complete Dynamic Handgun (or equivalent course from another training provider) and demonstrate proficiency in safety and technique in order to take this class and gain the maximum training benefits. Exceptions may be granted through prior NTAC instructor approval.

WHAT'S NEXT?

After completing this course, you will be eligible to take the next class: Move and Shoot, Low Light Handgun, Handgun Manipulations, Home Defense Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Team Tactics, Vehicle Tactics, or any of the Skills Maintenance classes.

We also strongly encourage our students to expand their knowledge by participating in our Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) training. TECC training will provide you with skills that will help save lives in high-stress, unpredictable situations, and is ideal for firearms and tactical training, church safety, school volunteers or anyone else that wants to be trained and prepared for an emergency.
