Women's Handgun: May 27-28, 2026 | Murray

Tactical Penguin, Murray

6 hours — A women-only class, taught by a female instructor that provides a supportive, low-stress environment to learn to shoot.  Designed to give beginners the fundamental techniques and knowledge they need to be safe and effective shooters, and establish correct habits that will set them up for success.

Women sometimes just feel more comfortable learning from other women in a supportive, low stress environment.  It's very empowering to take responsibility for your own self-defense, and to have the tools and skills in place to be your own first responder.  Our Women's Handgun course was created to help you get familiar with your own firearm and feel comfortable using it, understanding the mechanics of the handgun, being accustomed to the way it feels in your hands and how it reacts when you fire it.  This course is designed to ensure you have an adequate foundation and understanding of safe gun handling, along with a new level of confidence in your ability to handle and shoot your handgun.

Each month we do this course we add to the prior month. We build up to the top every six months. We challenge you to use your background, experience and training to react to the scenarios we put you through. You will have to legally justify your reactions after your run through your scenario. Understanding the legal use of force is not mandatory for this course but it will help.

Low Light Fundamentals (Skills Maintenance): May 27, 2026 | Orem TP

Tactical Penguin, Orem

2 hours — Practice using a handheld or weapons mounted light to clearly identify your target and shoot in low light situations.

Fighting in a diminished light capacity is difficult. In the modern world, there are low light areas even in broad daylight. These shadows and dark spots are a prime location for an adversary to attack you. Proper identification is an integral part of any armed encounter. The use of a light will assist with that proper identification in periods of darkness.
